Both the nozzle flowmeter and the orifice flowmeter belong to the differential pressure flowmeter, and both can be used as a meter for trade settlement, and the measurement principles of the two flowmeters are similar, both of which are generated when the medium fluid flows through the throttling device. It is determined by the working principle that there is a certain relationship between the pressure difference and the flow rate, mainly referring to the two laws of fluid mass conservation (continuity equation) and energy conservation (Bernoulli equation) in a closed pipeline, but there are still some differences between the two of:
1. Compared with the orifice flowmeter, the pressure loss of the nozzle flowmeter is smaller, it can save energy, and it is relatively strong and durable, so it is more suitable for measuring high temperature and high pressure fluid, and is widely used in the steam flow measurement of electric power, chemical industry and other industries .
2. Another difference between the nozzle flowmeter and the orifice flowmeter is the difference in the accuracy level. Relatively speaking, the flow measurement accuracy level of the nozzle flowmeter is higher, while the orifice flowmeter has a large diameter due to the large pressure loss. Because the pressure difference before and after the orifice plate is difficult to measure, the accuracy level will not be very high.
